About the role
As an RF Systems Engineer at Qualcomm, you will work on the system design, implementation, and verification of RF transceiver products and platforms for wireless technologies. Your work spans architecture, specification, simulation, design verification, testing, and production release in close collaboration with IC design, modem, and software teams.
What you'll do
- Develop signal processing techniques to receive and transmit wireless signals. - Conduct analysis and simulations using MATLAB, ADS, or similar tools to evaluate system architecture and performance under various conditions. - Develop system-level specifications for RF circuits and systems. - Collaborate with IC designers and software developers to ensure implementations satisfy system requirements. - Support RF product development through production release and manufacturing ramp-up.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 2+ years of Systems Engineering experience (or a Master's degree with 1+ year, or a PhD). - 3 years of experience in the design and development of RF products and systems. - Expertise in communication theory, signal processing, probability, and random processes. - Proficiency in MATLAB programming. - Experience conducting analysis and simulations using MATLAB, ADS, or similar tools.
Nice to have
- Experience with wireless systems and industry standards such as WLAN, Bluetooth, UWB, and cellular technologies (4G/5G). - Experience with wireless system architecture, performance analysis, and RF impairments. - Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
