About the role
Plans, designs, and develops electronic systems, circuits, components, integrated circuitry, and packaging while conducting simulations and analyses of designs. Evaluates, characterizes, and develops manufacturing and test solutions across production programs to improve yield, test time, and quality.
What you'll do
- Develop basic to moderately complex features and components of hardware designs in line with product proposals or roadmaps. - Apply design rules and processes for electronic hardware, equipment, and integrated circuitry. - Develop design implementation, analysis, methodology, flows, and automation for development and validation of System on Chip, electronic parts, and integrated circuitry. - Identify methods to optimize tests and hardware designs by evaluating device performance across operating conditions and configurations. - Assist in conducting specialized analyses, including feasibility studies, signal integrity, power integrity, and teardown analyses. - Interface with cross-functional teams including RF, Analog and Digital IC designers, Software, System Engineering, Test Engineers, and Operations to incorporate design and test solutions.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience (or Master's degree and 3+ years, or PhD and 2+ years). - Experience reading device specification sheets and interpreting details required to design hardware features. - Experience troubleshooting product designs, suggestions for solutions, and documenting lessons learned. - Experience with hardware design verification, test evaluation, and characterization.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. - 4 years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. - 2 years of experience with circuit design (e.g., digital, analog, RF). - 2 years of experience utilizing schematic capture and circuit simulation software. - 2 years of experience with hardware design and measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and RF tools.
