About the role

This role involves comprehensive RF/Microwave design from concept to production, focusing on mm-wave front-end products within Keysight Labs' mm-Wave Subsystems Design Group.

What you'll do

  • Lead the architecture and definition of new products and own the RF/Microwave design process through production.
  • Design RF/Microwave signal conditioning components across various technology platforms.
  • Develop electromagnetic models to characterize complex RF and microwave subsystems.
  • Develop test plans, perform characterization, validation, and troubleshooting of RF/mm-wave designs and prototypes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create products and ensure designs meet requirements.
  • Work with manufacturing partners to prototype designs and transition them into production.

What you'll need

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field with an emphasis in RF and Microwave Design, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering, electronics, and RF/microwave principles.
  • Proficiency with microwave modeling and simulation tools, including 1D, 2.5D, and 3D electromagnetic simulators.

Nice to have

  • 2+ years of experience in RF, microwave, or mm-wave subsystem design.
  • Proficiency with Keysight ADS, Genesys, and EMPro.
  • Experience with RF/mm-wave test and measurement equipment, including vector network analyzers (VNAs), spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and automated test systems.
  • Experience debugging and troubleshooting RF/mm-wave hardware, correlating measurement results to simulation models, and performing root-cause analysis.
  • Experience with design verification, product qualification, and transition of RF hardware into manufacturing.
