Design, simulate, and characterize WiFi front-end PAs and modules operating in the 2-8 GHz frequency range.
About the role
This Co-Op role involves RF front-end PA design, simulation, characterization, and performance optimization. You will work on WiFi front-end PAs and modules operating in the 2-8 GHz frequency range.
What you'll do
- Perform RF circuit, electromagnetic (EM), and thermal simulations for RF modules and integrated circuits.
- Assist with laboratory characterization, debugging, and performance optimization of RF ICs and modules.
- Analyze measurement data and simulation results to evaluate circuit performance.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports summarizing test results, simulation findings, and engineering recommendations.
- Present technical analyses, project updates, and key findings to the engineering team.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Completion of coursework in microwave engineering.
- Completion of coursework in electronic circuit design.
- Exposure to integrated circuit design.
- Exposure to semiconductor devices.
- Exposure to semiconductor physics.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of microwave circuit design, including amplifiers, filters, transmission lines, impedance matching networks, and passive RF components.
- Experience with RF design and simulation tools such as Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS), Cadence Virtuoso, and Ansys HFSS.
- Familiarity with RF and DC measurement equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers (VNAs), power meters, and spectrum analyzers.
- Experience with data analysis and scripting tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similar engineering software.
