Design, test, and evaluate RF delivery systems operating from 100kHz to 100MHz in watt to kilowatt ranges.
About the role
Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment, hardware systems, and electrical engineering applications in Lam's etch and deposition products. The role focuses on the design, selection, testing, and documentation of RF delivery systems operating from 100kHz to 100MHz across watt to kilowatt ranges.
What you'll do
- Design, select, test, and document RF delivery systems operating between 100kHz and 100MHz in watt to kilowatt ranges. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering design teams—including electrical, mechanical, software, process, technical support, and suppliers—on custom and OEM embedded systems components. - Prepare and analyze test plans and procedures to verify technical and operational requirements. - Collect and analyze pertinent material and data for presentations at design, project, and program reviews. - Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability, and review vendor capabilities.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, a Master's degree with 3 years of experience, a PhD, or equivalent work experience in Electrical Engineering or Physics. - Knowledge of EM fields theory and RF metrology, including power meters, network analyzers, impedance analyzers, and spectrum analyzers. - Experience performing electrical engineering research, design, development, and evaluation for electrical and electro-mechanical systems and subsystems.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with high voltage (>1kV) design rules/practices DC – 100MHz. - Experience with SPICE, LabView, MathCAD, or MatLab, and simulation tools such as HFSS, Comsol, or Microwave Studio. - Experience in or fundamental knowledge of plasma processing, plasma sources, and plasma loads.
