About the role
This internship involves assisting in the design of RF integrated circuits and modules, with responsibilities spanning simulation, measurement, and analysis.
What you'll do
- Assist in the design of mm-wave amplifiers and switches in GaAs or GaN as standalone ICs and integrated in modules.
- Perform linear, non-linear, and electromagnetic (EM) simulations using commercially available tools.
- Prepare and present design review(s) to peers summarizing work/results.
- Measure and analyze RF performance of modules and/or MMICs in the engineering lab.
- Assist experienced engineers in laminate package characterization, Integrated circuit probe test, measurement, and data analysis.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in an accredited program seeking a BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with focus on RF circuit design.
- Completed relevant RF circuit design course work.
- Familiarity with ADS or MWO CAD simulation software.
- Familiarity with EM solvers (Sonnet, Momentum, Axiem and/or HFSS).
- 3.5 GPA or higher.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of python programming.
