$26 - $47 USD yearly
Contribute to the development of RF/microwave front-end ICs and modules operating in the 2-8 GHz frequency range.
About the role
This role involves supporting the RF Design team in the development of RF/microwave front-end ICs and modules. You will gain hands-on experience in RF design, simulation, characterization, and performance optimization.
What you'll do
- Perform RF circuit, electromagnetic (EM), and thermal simulations.
- Assist with laboratory characterization, debugging, and performance optimization of RF ICs and modules.
- Analyze measurement data and simulation results to evaluate circuit performance.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports summarizing test results, simulation findings, and engineering recommendations.
- Present technical analyses, project updates, and key findings to the engineering team.
- Evaluate and leverage AI-assisted engineering tools, data analytics, automation, and advanced modeling techniques.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Solid foundation in microwave engineering and electronic circuit design.
- Familiarity with microwave circuit concepts, including amplifiers, filters, transmission lines, impedance matching networks, and passive RF components.
- Experience with RF design and simulation tools such as Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS), Cadence Virtuoso, Ansys HFSS, or equivalent EDA software.
- Familiarity with laboratory measurement equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers (VNAs), power meters, and spectrum analyzers.
- Ability to complete a 6-month Co-Op term prior to graduation.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of integrated circuit design, semiconductor devices, and semiconductor physics.
- Experience with RF front-end modules, RFICs, MMICs, or related wireless communication products.
- Experience with data analysis, scripting, or programming tools such as Python, MATLAB, or similar engineering software.
- Familiarity with automation, machine learning, AI-assisted engineering tools, or advanced computational techniques for design and data analysis.
- Hands-on experience in RF characterization, debugging, and performance optimization of RF circuits, modules, or integrated circuits.
- Prior internship, co-op, undergraduate research, or industry experience in RF, microwave, semiconductor, or related engineering fields.
