About the role
This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, modifying, testing, and verifying complex electronic and electro-mechanical equipment at the component level at the Internal Repair Facility in ATMC, Austin. Work centers on semiconductor RF equipment, including RF matchers and generators.
What you'll do
- Diagnose and repair complex automatic and logic-controlled electronic systems, RF matchers, generators, complex PCBs, and controllers down to the component level using root cause analysis. - Set up, operate, and adjust advanced diagnostic and measurement instrumentation, including voltage meters, ESR meters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators. - Modify and test sub-components to meet operational requirements, developing or improvising circuits and test setups for unique repair scenarios. - Perform post-repair testing utilizing load testing and signal generation techniques. - Perform through-hole, surface mount, and fine-pitch soldering. - Maintain repair documentation and enter tracking information into the internal database.
What you'll need
- Minimum associate degree in Electronics. - Minimum 5 years of experience working in bench repair on matching units and generators (such as Advanced Energy or Odyssey). - Solid knowledge of analog and digital electronics, RF theory, and AC/DC circuit design. - Proven ability to read schematics, understand circuits, and conduct component-level troubleshooting. - Ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed and adhere to electrical, mechanical, and chemical safety protocols.
