About the role
The Revenue Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition, maintaining compliance with applicable accounting standards (ASC 606), preparing revenue-related reconciliations and reports, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
What you'll do
- Partner closely with Sales, Operations, Legal, and Finance teams to analyze revenue transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and maintain compliance with ASC 606 standards.
- Prepare revenue-related reconciliations, reports, and handle contract assets, contract liabilities, and deferred revenue.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Review and interpret customer contracts to evaluate revenue implications.
- Maintain SOX controls and adhere to internal compliance requirements.
What you'll need
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 Revenue Recognition.
- Experience with revenue close and account reconciliations.
- Understanding of contract assets, contract liabilities, and deferred revenue.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion and RMCS.
- Knowledge of SOX controls and internal compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to review and interpret customer contracts and revenue implications.
