About the role

This internship involves onsite work within a team environment, focusing on electronic design, simulation, prototyping, and test within the semiconductor industry.

What you'll do

  • Work onsite as part of a team in a physical workspace.
  • Conceptualize signal flow for various systems.
  • Integrate different hardware and software components.
  • Debug systems using logic analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators.

What you'll need

  • Completed MS and currently enrolled in a PhD program.
  • Combination of electronics, signal processing, and circuit design skills.
  • Understanding of analog and digital circuits.
  • Knowledge of RF electronics.
  • Experience with op-amps, filters, oscillators, and mixers.
  • Understanding of Fourier Transform.
  • Knowledge of waveform generation techniques.
  • Concepts of modulation and demodulation.
  • Ability to perform signal amplitude, phase, and frequency analysis.
  • Experience working with bandwidth, resolution, and dynamic range.
  • Ability to conceptualize signal flow (e.g., from antenna to output display).
  • Knowledge of key components including RF Front-End (LNA, Mixer, LO), IF (Intermediate Frequency) Section, ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter), Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Unit, and Display/Interface Module.
  • Experience with schematic capture software.
  • Understanding of PCB layout considerations for RF circuits.
  • Knowledge of grounding, shielding, and impedance matching.
  • Familiarity with FPGA, DSP, or microcontrollers for real-time processing.
  • Programming in C/C++ or Python.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
  • Understanding of signal integrity, noise reduction, and error handling.
  • Experience working with MATLAB, Simulink, LTspice, or ADS (Advanced Design System).
  • Ability to simulate and analyze RF circuits and signal processing algorithms.
