This Reliability Test Engineering Intern role supports advanced technology reliability characterization within the GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8 in Malta, New York.
What you'll do
- Support development and maintenance of test programs and test capabilities for new technology reliability assessments.
- Assist with wafer-level and package-level reliability testing, including HCI, BTI, TDDB, and EM.
- Execute electrical measurements using semi-automatic and fully automatic probers and support accurate, on-time data collection.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot measurement or equipment issues, and document findings for engineering review.
- Support standardization, automation, equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and laboratory organization.
- Collaborate with FEOL, BEOL, Product Reliability, and laboratory engineering teams to support technology development and qualification activities.
What you'll need
- At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronics, or related field.
- Overall 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
Nice to have
- Prior related internship or co-op experience.
- Programming experience with Python, C#, C++, Visual Basic, or a related language.
- Familiarity with probers or electrical test equipment.
- Coursework or laboratory experience in semiconductor devices, circuits, reliability, or electrical characterization.
