KLA is looking for an Applications Development Engineer to provide support for PWG and Wafersight products.
About the role
This role provides applications development support to customers for PWG and Wafersight products. You will work within the Surfscan group, which is responsible for technology that enables wafer, IC and equipment manufacturers to develop, qualify and monitor their process tools.
What you'll do
- Provide applications development support following standard procedures.
- Develop test cases and characterize new products and/or features.
- Demonstrate metrology relevance to customer yield issues.
- Provide technical support for customer applications dealing with PWG products and features.
- Provide product demonstrations and assess potential applications to meet customer needs.
- Provide clear feedback to engineering teams for product improvement during Alpha/Beta tests.
What you'll need
- Master’s or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related fields.
- Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing.
- Ability to understand functionality and capabilities of tools for root cause analysis.
- Skills in data analysis/processing and statistical analysis.
- Ability to quickly understand customer requirements and processes.
- Must be self-driven, yet a strong team player.
Nice to have
- Programming and scripting skills in MATLAB or Python.
