About the role
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver software and firmware for ultra-high-performance datacenter-scale solutions. You will own all aspects of design across the cradle-to-grave product lifecycle, including ZephyrOS/OpenBMC firmware, microcode, device drivers, embedded Linux/Yocto builds, and upper-level control software.
What you'll do
- Own design and implementation across ZephyrOS/OpenBMC firmware, microcode, device drivers, embedded Linux/Yocto builds, and upper-level control software. - Lead early-stage development and low-level debugging for silicon, chip, board, and full-system bring-up. - Develop software for hardware interfaces including I2C, PMBus, AVSbus, MDIO, PCIe, SPI, USB, and SERDES. - Implement Secure Boot, u-boot, and Secure Root of Trust (RoT) solutions, working with architectures such as Calyptra. - Drive system-level validation, testing techniques, and automation tools across product inception to volume production. - Support customer trials, address field issues, and ensure product sustainability.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and 8+ years of related experience. - Background developing software in C++/C for multi-processor architectures (x86, ARM), spanning low-level firmware up to rack management control software. - Experience with Linux/Yocto, OpenBMC, and/or ZephyrOS. - Hands-on experience with hardware interfaces including I2C, PMBus, AVSbus, MDIO, PCIe, SPI, USB, and SERDES. - Knowledge of Redfish and DMTF standards including MCTP, PLDM, and SPDM. - Experience implementing Secure Boot, u-boot, and Secure Root of Trust (RoT).
