About the role
As an R&D Software Engineer, you will work with a distributed team to build digital products supporting instrument systems and services across the full technology stack. These solutions span embedded firmware, I/O communications, IoT protocols, cloud storage, visualization, and AI/ML methods.
What you'll do
- Define and implement standards around instrument system and solution support technologies. - Define and implement company-wide standards for solution verification and diagnostics applying advances in AI/ML. - Work with KGSO and IT to define an IoT communications and cloud storage infrastructure enabling solution support services. - Develop digital products across embedded firmware, industry-standard I/O communications, and cloud storage.
What you'll need
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. - Experience with object-oriented languages. - Experience with JavaScript, UI design, and UI frameworks (e.g., REACT).
Nice to have
- Experience with C++, C#, or Java. - Experience interfacing with electronic equipment using SCPI. - Understanding of electronic circuitry and electrical engineering fundamentals.
