About the role

This R&D Electrical Engineering Intern will be responsible for designing electronic elements for oscilloscope products, modular RF products, and/or probes and accessories products for test and measurement applications.

What you'll do

• Design PCAs for electronic measurement products.
• Own component selection and schematic design of PCAs.
• Use simulation software to validate conceptual circuit designs.
• Work with PCA layout resources to meet design requirements.
• Test, debug, and characterize designs.
• Document designs for ongoing and future reference.

What you'll need

• Working towards a BS or MS in EE/ECE or equivalent experience and education.
• Familiarity with circuit design and analysis, PCA design, and component selection.
• Knowledge of simulation tools for concept validation.
• Familiarity with schematic and layout tools.
• Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment.
• Self-motivation and strong communication and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Working towards an MS in EE/ECE.
• Familiarity with digital and RF components such as samplers, filters, mixers, and transmission lines.
• Experience with Mentor Graphics.
• Experience with Keysight's ADS software package.
• Ability to perform hands-on measurements with VNAs, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
• Experience with the complete design-prototype-analyze cycle.
