About the role
The Quality Technician II oversees the inspection process and overall quality workflow for manufacturing projects. This role performs incoming and outgoing inspection while driving quality investigations, process improvements, and root-cause analyses.
What you'll do
- Perform incoming and outgoing inspection using standard measurement tools such as micrometers, height gages, and calipers. - Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in support of quality engineers. - Contribute to root-cause analysis and problem-solving activities to establish corrective actions and process improvements across manufacturing, materials, engineering, and planning. - Collect and analyze quality data to predict trends impacting product quality improvement. - Support new product development programs and train manufacturing and inspection personnel. - Maintain compliance with quality, calibration, ESD, occupational safety, and environmental regulations.
What you'll need
- AS degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent work experience. - 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. - Experience with CMM (Zeiss CMM Calypso). - Working knowledge of standard inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, and height gages. - Ability to work from specifications, technical manuals, schematics, and verbal or written instructions. - Proficiency with Smartsheet, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Nice to have
- Experience with ERP systems, Oracle, and customer portal access.
