About the role
This role involves supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of AMD's Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with industry standards and customer requirements, driving operational excellence and product quality.
What you'll do
- Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Develop, review, and update quality procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions (CAPA).
- Collect and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Support supplier quality management activities as needed.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Industrial) or related field.
- Experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Experience with fabless semiconductor processes.
- Proficiency in QMS software and data analysis tools.
- Proficient with Visio Flowcharting tools.
Nice to have
- 1-2 years of experience in Quality Management Systems within semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.
- Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, 8D, 5-Why Root Cause Analysis).
