Veeco is seeking a Supplier Quality Manager to lead supplier quality performance, risk management, and operational excellence at its San Jose manufacturing hub. The role oversees supplier capability across a global supply base while directly supporting manufacturing continuity and executive reviews.
What you'll do
- Lead and develop a team of Supplier Quality Engineers supporting San Jose, CA, alongside partial-time individual contributing support for St. Paul, MN. - Serve as the primary supplier quality representative to executive leadership, delivering data-driven insights on performance, risks, and mitigation plans. - Execute supplier quality strategy, scalable frameworks, KPIs, and governance across the supply base. - Own supplier performance across quality, delivery, and reliability, leading escalations through rapid containment and root cause resolution. - Oversee Product Quality Planning (PQP) implementation, including process flows, pFMEA, control plans, MSA, and SPC. - Ensure supplier readiness for NPI, qualifications, production ramp, and compliance with configuration management, traceability, and copy-exact requirements.
What you'll need
- BS in Engineering or a related technical field. - At least 10 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering. - Demonstrated background in structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, A3, and DMAIC. - Experience managing supplier change control, validation, and copy-exact requirements. - Proven experience establishing Product Quality Planning (PQP), pFMEA, control plans, MSA, and SPC.
