About the role
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will ensure precision-machined components, assemblies, and electro-mechanical systems meet engineering and quality requirements at the San Jose manufacturing operation.
What you'll do
- Perform incoming, source, and first article inspections of precision-machined components, subassemblies, and electro-mechanical systems.
- Verify conformance to engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, purchase orders, specifications, and quality standards.
- Identify and contain nonconforming material to prevent impact to production, product quality, or customer requirements.
- Conduct and document First Article Inspections for new suppliers, prototype parts, engineering changes, and New Product Introduction activities.
- Support investigations of failed, returned, or nonconforming parts using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis methods.
- Record inspection results, First Article Inspection documentation, nonconformance records, and material disposition activity in SAP and applicable quality systems.
What you'll need
- Substantial inspection knowledge.
- Ability to apply sound judgment to perform material inspections.
- Experience performing incoming, source, and first article inspections (FAI’s).
- Experience documenting findings and supporting investigations of non-conforming materials.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
- Experience with SAP or similar quality systems.
