About the role
This role involves ensuring manufacturing ramps transition to high-volume production while maintaining product quality and reliability standards. You will evaluate materials, processes, and testing mechanisms, and implement improvements.
What you'll do
- Evaluate and qualify manufacturing ramps and processes for quality and reliability standards compliance.
- Develop systems for early detection and containment of manufacturing excursions and conduct risk assessments.
- Drive continuous process improvements and proactive quality programs in factories.
- Conduct quality assessments, audits, and analyze reliability data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with product development teams to make recommendations for system, process, and product reliability enhancements.
- Manage excursion containment, change control, and supplier audits, driving supplier continuous improvement initiatives.
- Respond to customer-reported issues by providing engineering solutions.
- Extract insights from data using statistical techniques and machine learning to evaluate product and system compliance.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Engineering, other engineering, Physics or STEM related fields with 3+ years of experience OR Masters or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Engineering, other engineering, Physics or STEM related fields with 1+ years' experience.
- Proficiency in statistical process control, excursion management processes, and manufacturing quality.
- Knowledge of Complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS), device physics, and semiconductor processing techniques, Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Experience with Device/semiconductor physics and electrical characterization techniques in wafer fabrication.
- Data extraction and analysis skills.
- Experience in Quality & Reliability (QnR), Process, device, and product engineering.
- Understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) principles and structured problem solving.
Nice to have
- Microprocessor architecture.
- Data extraction and analysis skills (JMP, Crystal Ball, ILM, REL PCS, SQL, JSL Scripting).
- Experience in process startup, process certification, or reliability risk assessments related to the device front end process or back end reliability.
- Hands-on IC fabrication experience.
