About the role
This role supports the manufacturing of high-precision aerospace and defense components and assemblies. The QC Inspector performs dimensional, visual, and process inspections of precision-machined components of varying complexity, and incoming materials to verify conformance with engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards such as AS9100 and other customer requirements, and company standards.
What you'll do
- Use inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gages, CMMs, optical comparators, microscopes, vision systems, and drop gages to perform spindle first article inspections.
- Perform receiving, set-up, in-process, and final inspections in accordance with control plans and work instructions.
- Record measurements and populate inspection reports or related documents as specified by product control plans and work instructions.
- Interpret detailed engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
- Provide CMM programming support, including running first-time programs, tuning existing programs, and assisting with troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and internal quality standards.
What you'll need
- Proficiency in print reading and GD&T.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office software packages such as MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- 1+ years of manufacturing or related experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of an ERP systems, GSS.
