About the role
Establish and lead the Program Management Office (PMO) function for the automotive semiconductor power management group, driving portfolio governance, project execution, and functional safety compliance.
What you'll do
- Define PMO vision, governance frameworks, processes, and tools while building a team to support 15-25 concurrent programs across design, development, validation, and production phases.
- Implement portfolio-level governance, including quarterly portfolio reviews, go/no-go decision frameworks, and resource allocation optimization.
- Establish stage-gate processes and track program health across schedule, budget, scope, quality, and risk using real-time dashboards.
- Embed functional safety management processes aligned with ISO 26262 and SOTIF into stage-gate reviews, tracking ASIL classifications, safety cases, and FMEA/FTA deliverables.
- Lead programs through transition phases including customer design-ins, pilot production, and NPI volume ramp commitments.
- Define program portfolio KPIs—such as on-time delivery, schedule variance, and budget variance—and manage executive reporting cadences.
What you'll need
- 12+ years of program and portfolio management experience in semiconductor, automotive electronics, or related product development environments.
- Demonstrated experience establishing and leading PMO organizations overseeing 10+ concurrent programs across design, development, validation, and production phases.
- Deep understanding of automotive product development processes, NPI methodologies, design-in cycles, volume production ramps, and automotive supply chains.
- Strong understanding of automotive functional safety standards (ISO 26262, SOTIF, AEC standards) with functional safety compliance tracking experience.
- Proficiency in program management software platforms such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or SAP.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Direct experience with power management, power distribution, or protection device product development in automotive applications.
- Experience scaling PMO functions from early-stage to mature organizations supporting large portfolios.
- Familiarity with software-defined vehicle (SDV) architectures and related program management challenges.
- Background in financial management, P&L accountability, and budget forecasting across portfolio programs.
- Advanced degree or PMP certification.
- Experience integrating quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF standards) and complex functional safety deliverables (FMEA/FTA development, ASIL classification, safety cases) into PMO oversight.
