About the role

Establish and lead the Program Management Office (PMO) function for the automotive semiconductor power management group, driving portfolio governance, project execution, and cross-functional alignment. This role oversees a portfolio of 15 to 25 concurrent programs across design, development, validation, and production phases with embedded ISO 26262 and SOTIF functional safety governance.

What you'll do

  • Define PMO structure, operating standards, playbooks, and build a team to support 15-25 concurrent programs across design, development, validation, and production phases.
  • Implement portfolio-level governance, including quarterly reviews, go/no-go decision frameworks, resource allocation, and critical path tracking.
  • Establish stage-gate processes and track program schedule, budget, scope, quality, and risk through real-time dashboards and regular steering reviews.
  • Embed functional safety management aligned with ISO 26262 and SOTIF into stage-gate processes, tracking ASIL classifications, safety cases, and FMEA/FTA completion.
  • Direct programs through customer design-ins, pilot production, and volume production ramps while enforcing NPI methodology discipline.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment, risk mitigation planning, and executive reporting across Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain.

What you'll need

  • 12+ years of program and portfolio management experience in semiconductor, automotive electronics, or related complex product development environments.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and leading PMO organizations managing 10+ concurrent programs across design, development, validation, and production phases.
  • Deep understanding of automotive product development processes, NPI methodologies, design-in cycles, volume production ramps, and automotive supply chain supplier management.
  • Strong understanding of automotive functional safety standards (ISO 26262, SOTIF, AEC standards) with proven ability to enforce compliance tracking.
  • Proficiency with program management tools and frameworks (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) and software platforms such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or SAP.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.

Nice to have

  • Direct experience with power management, power distribution, or protection device product development in automotive applications.
  • Experience scaling PMO functions from startup or early-stage to a mature organization supporting large program portfolios.
  • Familiarity with software-defined vehicle (SDV) architectures and associated program management challenges.
  • Background in financial management and P&L accountability, including portfolio budget forecasting.
  • Demonstrated experience managing programs with FMEA/FTA development, ASIL classification, and safety case generation as deliverables.
  • Deep understanding of quality systems including ISO 9001 and IATF standards, along with experience integrating functional safety and quality governance into PMO processes.
  • Advanced degree or PMP certification.
