About the role
As a Program or Project Manager, you will drive sourcing of newly designed parts directly from high-volume manufacturing (HVM) suppliers to improve product margins and source parts closer to manufacturing sites. You will coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
What you'll do
- Translate high-level objectives into actionable strategies and tasks.
- Partner cross-functionally to develop metrics and tools to drive delivery and cost-savings objectives.
- Develop relationships with Lam’s Asia supply base.
- Identify supplier cost, capacity, and delivery risks and opportunities.
- Coach Supplier Business Managers and Sourcing Engineers on New Product Introduction (NPI) sourcing processes and supplier negotiations.
- Present monthly and quarterly performance to executive-level audiences.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Materials Science, Logistics, or related field with 12+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 8+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of related experience in supply chain management.
- Solid analytical and written/oral communication skills with the ability to communicate cross-functionally across all levels of the organization.
- High-level proficiency in planning, creating, and delivering executive-level presentations.
- Ability to travel to international supplier sites and after-hours meetings with global team members.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering.
- Previous work experience in commodity management, procurement, contracting, materials management, or operations management.
- Project management or team lead experience.
- Lean Six Sigma experience.
- Understanding of operational processes and interdependencies.
- Ability to learn new technologies and manufacturing processes.
