About the role
This role involves coordinating technical projects and defined program workstreams within Veeco’s Product Development team in San Jose, focusing on advanced semiconductor equipment. You will specifically support the Advanced Packaging (AP) product line and strategic outsourcing initiatives.
What you'll do
- Coordinate defined technical projects and program workstreams, translating objectives into schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Monitor progress, maintain project documentation, and work with cross-functional partners to address execution issues.
- Coordinate activities across mechanical, electrical, optical, software, technician, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Service teams.
- Partner with Product Line Managers and engineering stakeholders to clarify requirements, priorities, ownership, and acceptance criteria.
- Identify and track technical, schedule, resource, and supplier risks; develop mitigation actions and escalate issues.
- Prepare clear, concise project updates communicating progress, milestones, risks, scope changes, decisions, and next steps.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of technical project management experience in an engineering, product development, high-tech manufacturing, semiconductor, or capital equipment environment.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams and delivering complex technical programs against schedule, scope, and business objectives.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline.
