About the role
The Production Planner will assist with scheduling production orders, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting on-time delivery goals.
What you'll do
- Create and maintain production schedules based on customer demand and inventory requirements.
- Release and monitor work orders to support on-time production and shipment goals.
- Coordinate daily with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams.
- Track production progress and communicate schedule changes or potential delays.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify material shortages that could impact production.
- Maintain accurate planning data and transactions within the ERP system.
What you'll need
- 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, inventory control, supply chain, logistics, or scheduling.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Ability to analyze data and solve problems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have
- Internship, coursework, or previous experience in manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, customer service, or inventory control.
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of basic inventory management and production planning concepts.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments.
