Etched is bringing manufacturing in-house, starting with its first Etched-operated production line for frontier inference clusters.
About the role
As Production Line Supervisor, you will hire and train the founding operator team, own the floor every shift, and connect production, inventory, lab operations, test development, and engineering for Etched's new in-house production line. This role focuses on bringing server racks from new product introduction (NPI) into high-volume manufacturing for frontier inference clusters.
What you'll do
- Recruit, hire, and develop the line's founding team of assembly technicians and production test operators - Train operators on SOPs, set clear standards, and hold the team to them - Own every shift's results: schedule and assign the team, execute work orders, and deliver builds on time and to spec - Partner with receiving and inventory to keep material flowing to the line and prevent shortages - Triage, contain, and pull in engineers quickly when issues arise mid-shift - Own day-to-day use of inventory management, manufacturing execution, and test software, ensuring data accuracy

- Experience leading a hands-on team in a physical environment where work must be accurate and on time - A track record of scheduling people, assigning work, and running an organized shift - Experience training new team members and holding them to clear standards and procedures - A knack for keeping supplies stocked, work moving, and spotting bottlenecks - Calm, practical judgment when issues occur mid-shift - Clear, direct communication with your team, partner departments, and leadership - Comfort learning and using new software tools daily
