About the role

This role involves creating advanced mechanical, electrical, and mechatronic tooling for high-tech manufacturing, guiding tooling from requirements through qualification, release, and ongoing production support.

What you'll do

  • Lead tooling design projects from concept through production.
  • Define functional requirements and technical specifications.
  • Design complex manufacturing tools, fixtures, and jigs.
  • Create detailed three-dimensional models and two-dimensional drawings using computer-aided design software.
  • Lead design reviews and apply tolerance, motion, material, structural, thermal, and performance analysis.
  • Resolve advanced tooling issues, implement corrective actions, improve processes, and support investment planning.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in manufacturing tooling design, production engineering, process development, or manufacturing.
  • At least three years of experience leading projects and improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with three-dimensional design software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or AutoCAD).
  • Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, manufacturing processes, and finite element analysis.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning, product lifecycle management, and engineering change processes.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in semiconductor, high-tech, complex assembly, or cleanroom environments.
  • Certification in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, project management, Lean, or Six Sigma.
