Operate manufacturing equipment and process silicon microchips using the Factory Works system in a high-volume wafer fabrication cleanroom.
About the role
As a Night Production Assistant, you will manufacture semiconductor devices within a high-volume wafer fabrication facility at the Hazel Grove, Stockport site. You will operate equipment in a cleanroom environment to produce silicon microchips used in products such as mobile phones and electric vehicles.
What you'll do
- Complete daily production tasks and follow instructions with the support of your Team Leader.
- Learn to operate equipment and achieve required wafer output targets.
- Follow production change procedures and comply with cleanroom working and safety practices.
- Complete documentation accurately and record transactions in the Factory Works system.
- Maintain quality, safety, and production standards throughout shift operations.
What you'll need
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Methodical approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team with a proactive mindset.
- Excellent time management, reliability, and commitment to a 7pm to 7am four-on, four-off night-shift pattern.
- Permanent right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or factory environment.
- Experience working in a cleanroom.
- Mechanical or technical experience with machines or tools.
