About the role
This role involves test planning, automation infrastructure, and execution for power and thermal characterization across Qualcomm chipsets. Testing covers various high-level operating systems and non-HLOS subsystems including Android and Windows platforms.
What you'll do
- Use power measurement equipment to collect measurements for system use cases on test platforms. - Plan and execute test cases for power, and debug software-related issues on Qualcomm chipsets across HLOS and non-HLOS subsystems. - Execute functional and feature tests for power and thermal software, including power and thermal characterization and optimization. - Provide test results, characterization data, and optimization metrics to cross-functional engineering teams. - Collaborate daily with test engineers, product engineers, and the power ecosystem.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Nice to have
- 2 years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience. - Understanding of the software product life cycle and experience with software test methodologies. - Systems and hardware background with understanding of microprocessor architecture and common SoC hardware blocks such as Interconnects, Display, and Graphics. - Experience with operating systems platform testing such as Google Android or Windows. - Thermal or power test experience on any platform, plus knowledge of Power and Thermal SW features or Thermal Device Profile. - Experience with debug tools including JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers. - Development skills in Python or C/C++, and experience with Ubuntu or Linux server OS.
