About the role
Texas Instruments is seeking a Product, Test & Validation Engineer to join the Analog Power Products organization in Dallas, placed into either product engineering, test engineering, or validation engineering. You will work across the full product development lifecycle on analog power ICs alongside design, applications, manufacturing, and quality teams.
What you'll do
- Analyze production or test data to identify yield, quality trends, escapes, outliers, and opportunities for improvement. - Develop, debug, and optimize automated test programs and hardware fixtures such as load boards on industry-standard ATE platforms. - Design bench test setups, automation scripts, and hardware fixtures to characterize device performance across temperature, voltage, and load variations. - Lead product qualification, reliability testing, and root cause investigation for silicon issues, failure analysis, or field returns. - Support new product introductions, technology transfers, and the release of test programs to manufacturing test sites. - Collaborate with IC design and applications engineers to translate device specifications into test algorithms and validate functional correctness.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. - 1+ years of experience in product engineering, test engineering, validation engineering, hardware validation, or a related technical role.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of analog circuitry, including op-amps, DC/DC converters, LDOs, and data converters. - Experience with product qualification, JEDEC standards, PCN processes, wafer fabrication, or statistical tools such as JMP. - Experience developing automated test programs on ATE platforms such as Teradyne or Advantest, including load board design and C/C++, Python, FLEX, or IG-XL programming. - Hands-on experience with bench lab equipment (oscilloscopes, source-measure units, thermal chambers), PCB design, and automation via Python, C/C++, MATLAB, or LabVIEW. - Familiarity with analog power topologies such as buck, boost, LDO, or battery management circuits.
