Originally posted 4 November 2026 by the employer.
About the role
As a senior Product Quality Engineer, you will focus on improving the quality and reliability of AMD's Server CPUs and Instinct accelerators using manufacturing data, test data, and predictive analytics.
What you'll do
- Set technical direction for reliability and quality analytics across Server CPU and Instinct product families to influence product, test, and manufacturing decisions.
- Partner with the foundry technology team to characterize, model, and improve reliability across all stages of technology development.
- Develop pre-silicon product reliability assessments, outgoing-quality predictions, and DPPM analytics frameworks.
- Develop and deploy ML/AI solutions for parametric outlier screening, drift detection, and anomaly detection across wafer, lot, site, and package dimensions.
- Perform root-cause analysis of yield loss and DPPM drivers by correlating test, fab, assembly, and design variables.
- Build and maintain yield and quality analytics within AMD's AVA analytics platform to support adaptive test, screening, and binning strategies.
What you'll need
- Relevant industry experience, or Master’s or Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Math, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong background in semiconductor product development, yield engineering, or test engineering, with hands-on experience analyzing high-volume manufacturing data.
- Knowledge of statistics and machine learning, including hypothesis testing, DOE/RSM, regression, classification, outlier detection, time-series analysis, and anomaly detection.
- Proficiency with Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling (including pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn).
- Practical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and test flows, including wafer sort, final test, binning strategies, DPPM analysis, reliability screens, and excursion management.
- Demonstrated ability to deploy analytics or machine-learning solutions into production environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with server-class CPUs and/or accelerator/GPU products.
- Familiarity with yield analytics ecosystems similar to AMD’s AVA analytics platform.

How we counted: 509 open Reliability Engineering (Reliability Engineering) roles from 77 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 4 Nov 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Process, Fab & Equipment family row.
