Guide product roadmap and adoption for the Atlas Explorer hardware/software co-design platform operating with MIPS RISC-V processors.
About the role
As a Product Manager for Atlas Explorer, you will define the roadmap and oversee the adoption of a software-first hardware, software co-design platform for safe and secure SoCs. The role operates across MIPS RISC-V processors, simulators, compilers, firmware, operating systems, and application software.
What you'll do
- Define, prioritize, and groom the product feature backlog across epics, features, and user stories. - Build and maintain a rolling 12–18 month product roadmap aligned with MIPS Atlas IP roadmaps, customer requirements, and design-in opportunities. - Represent target users—including embedded software engineers, SoC architects, and CI/CD owners—converting usage analytics and beta feedback into specifications. - Lead agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, review) to deliver incremental capabilities, including performance reports, experiment workflows, and Python API capabilities. - Coordinate early-access and co-design engagements with strategic customers and partners, managing feedback loops and product communications. - Collaborate with Product Marketing on value proposition framing, key capabilities, figures of merit, and go-to-market readiness.
What you'll need
- 10+ years of experience as a software engineer, including serving as Technical Lead on more than 2 projects or programs. - 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager with experience bootstrapping a new product or technology initiative. - Technical fluency in Instruction Set Architectures, C/C++ compilers, and semiconductor simulation solutions. - Understanding of pre-silicon and shift-left methodologies, including verification/validation, virtual prototyping, or pre-RTL performance modeling workflows. - Familiarity with AI inference, model runtime optimization, and developer-oriented AI-assisted tooling. - Experience with data visualization best practices or tools that translate complex performance data into actionable insights. - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
