About the role
This role involves owning product change management and controlling unreleased product approval and customer-shipped configurations.
What you'll do
- Own product change management (PCM) and control
- Approve Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
- Implement Part Change Notifications (PCN) with Global Product Support
- Manage field service related activities and filter system feedback impacting customers
- Ensure accuracy of customer shipped configurations and Bill of Materials (BOMs)
- Implement component roadmaps including part obsolescence, replacements, alternative vendors, and cost reduction
- Facilitate intercompany communication for product strategies, pricing guidance, and restricted part orders
- Manage strategic vendor issues and all post-release product changes
What you'll need
- Depth and/or breadth of expertise in a specialized discipline or field
- Ability to interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend best practices
- Experience leading functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity
- Capability to lead others in solving complex problems using sophisticated analytical thought
- Ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiate to adopt different points of view
Nice to have
- Experience with CaRM (Configuration accuracy Review Meeting) reviews
- Experience with NSR (Non Standard Request) approval
