About the role
The Product Line Director for Frontend RCA & Coverage owns the digital front-end verification vertical end-to-end, from customer problem definition through R&D, demo, evaluation, and sale. In this role, you will lead product lines focused on root-cause analysis of regression failures and bugs, coverage closure from block level to SoCs, and adjacent capabilities in formal verification, lint/CDC, and harness optimization.
What you'll do
- Drive the full lifecycle from customer problem definition to R&D direction, product demonstrations, customer evaluations, and sales conversion. - Partner with DV leads, verification engineers, and CAD teams to identify wedge use cases, quantify saved debug hours and tape-out risk reduction, and validate willingness to pay. - Define and prioritize product roadmaps across root-cause analysis depth, coverage closure scope, formal verification, lint/CDC flows, and harness optimization. - Shape go-to-market strategy including product positioning, pricing input, demo flows, evaluation success criteria, and direct sales support. - Set measurable performance and revenue targets per product line, prioritizing research, software tooling, and customer engineering resources. - Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, AI and software engineering, and Sales to expand deployments from block-level engagements to full-SoC accounts.
What you'll need
- 7+ years of experience in digital design verification, verification methodology, or EDA product roles. - Direct familiarity with the front-end verification flow, including testbench/UVM, simulation regressions, debug/triage, coverage closure, formal verification, lint/CDC, and GLS. - Practical experience with regression failure triage at scale, root-cause analysis across block and system levels, and coverage signoff on large SoCs. - Established credibility in technical discussions with DV and CAD leadership and senior verification engineers. - Demonstrated record of validating product value with customers, converting technical evaluations into revenue, and program-managing cross-functional engineering plans.
Nice to have
- Experience taking an early-stage capability to a production-quality product. - Prior product management or product line management experience in EDA, semiconductor IP, or AI-for-engineering tools. - Familiarity with formal verification and static checks (lint/CDC) as adjacent product surfaces. - Experience defining evaluation criteria and success metrics for enterprise pilots.
