About the role
Product Installation Engineers in the KLA Services organization oversee tool installation deliverables, perform model upgrades, and execute end-to-end troubleshooting for semiconductor equipment. The position requires extensive travel of 90% or greater to support customer sites internationally and domestically.
What you'll do
- Lead the evaluation, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of complex system-level equipment problems during installation. - Drive install escalations and author Plans of Action (POAs) while collaborating with factory experts on root cause rectification. - Perform model change upgrades independently on fielded systems and assist PLC/NPI engineers with pre-release testing. - Prepare field service reports, daily passdowns, and post-activity Quality Feedback Reports documenting non-conformances and Best Known Methods (BKMs). - Mentor and coach junior engineers through on-the-job training (OJT) and provide on-site, phone, and email technical escalation support. - Maintain international travel readiness and documentation to fulfill extended travel assignments of 90% or more.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of related work experience, Master's degree with 8+ years of related work experience, or Doctorate degree with 5+ years of related work experience. - Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing complex system-level problems on semiconductor manufacturing equipment. - Demonstrated ability to develop and execute technical Plans of Action (POAs) for escalations and model change upgrades. - Ability to maintain documentation readiness for international travel and support extensive travel demands of 90% or more.
