About the role
As a Product Engineer in the Global Products Group, you will engineer semiconductor equipment and process design solutions to resolve customer issues and enhance etch and deposition products. You will work across cleanroom lab and customer semiconductor fab environments while supporting product development and field integration.
What you'll do
- Lead product development projects from prototyping and development through deployment, product release, and initial field support. - Lead teams to design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems. - Provide technical support for installation, diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex product issues. - Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide product specifications and development. - Implement industry standard process control techniques to manage production efficiencies and quality. - Maintain customer engagement, including international travel to customer sites to support near-term product releases and resolve issues.
What you'll need
- Master's degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 12+ years of experience; or a PhD with 8+ years of experience; or equivalent experience. - Experience with experimental design and complex troubleshooting in cleanroom lab or customer semiconductor fab environments. - Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including international travel to customer sites.
Nice to have
- Prior product design and technical engineer experience. - Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment. - Experience leading cross-functional teams.
