About the role
This role involves the product development of Voltage Regulator (VR) systems for high-performance computing applications, focusing on Vicor's 48V centric DC-DC converters.
What you'll do
- Design VR systems independently and collaboratively.
- Architect complete systems based on customer requirements and create reference designs.
- Write specifications based on customer requirements and work with Design Engineering.
- Design, simulate, prototype, test, and optimize custom circuitry.
- Conduct bench testing of new products at a system level.
- Develop reference design and evaluation printed circuit boards.
- Troubleshoot and optimize customer systems using Vicor Advanced products.
What you'll need
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years experience in Power Electronics Design, Product Development, or Applications Engineering.
- Excellent understanding of analog design and an analytical approach to engineering.
- Troubleshooting skills with basic power circuitries and systems.
- Familiarity with feedback and other control systems.
- Familiarity with modeling and design tools such as MATLAB Simulink, Altium, SPICE, Simplis, and Simetrix.
Nice to have
- MSEE.
- Contact or experience with Blue Chip or Tier 1 VR customers.
- Familiarity with Intel VR specifications for CPU core or Memory.
