About the role
Provide technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA optical thin film and SCD metrology in both customer fabrication and KLA facilities. The position supports the Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) Division on optical film thickness, optical critical dimension (CD), composition, and resistivity measurement systems.
What you'll do
- Handle recipe development and setup, technical training, project execution, and pre-sales activities to support customer needs. - Assist sales staff in assessing potential product applications and provide follow-up support in disseminating technical information. - Escalate field applications issues to the division, follow up for issue fixes, and report regional requirements and updates. - Generate film and SCD recipe development BKMs and publish technical papers. - Review and evaluate the quality of data in related technical documents, serve as a layer owner on complex demos, and act as the Applications Representative for PLC projects.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related experience, Master's degree with 6 years of related experience, or Doctorate degree with 3 years of related experience. - Experience with recipe development and optical metrology solutions. - Hands-on technical background supporting metrology tools in semiconductor customer fabrication or related facilities. - Experience analyzing complex engineering situations and data to evaluate performance entitlement.
