Wolfspeed is seeking a Process Engineer Sustaining II to work with Silicon Carbide (SiC) wafers.
About the role
This role involves sustaining and optimizing Grinding and Surface Finishing processes for Silicon Carbide (SiC) wafers in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
What you'll do
- Resolve daily priorities to support manufacturing operations.
- Drive project initiatives for process safety, quality, throughput, and low cost.
- Own the Grinding and Surface Finishing processes of Silicon Carbide (SiC) wafers.
- Implement continuous improvement across new and existing platforms and processes.
- Monitor and respond to OOC conditions on multiple product lines and toolsets.
- Facilitate and oversee the install of new manufacturing equipment.
What you'll need
- BS Degree in Engineering with Process Engineering, internship, Co-op, or industry experience.
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule to support critical tool issues.
- Equipment and process troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to identify process improvements, manage change, and implement solutions.
- Understanding and experience with Statistical Process Control.
- Project management skills with demonstrated ability to identify manufacturing improvements, manage change, and implement solutions.
