About the role
FormFactor is seeking a Process Engineer to support and improve photolithography and etch processes within a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment. The role sustains manufacturing operations and executes process improvement initiatives to improve yield, quality, throughput, and cost.
What you'll do
- Support characterization, optimization, and control of photolithography and etch manufacturing processes. - Monitor process performance, analyze data, and utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods alongside process capability metrics (Cp/Cpk). - Assist with the design, execution, and analysis of Design of Experiments (DOE) activities. - Investigate process excursions, defects, and yield losses using root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). - Conduct risk assessments utilizing PFMEA, control plans, and error-proofing (Poka-Yoke) solutions. - Support calibration programs, Measurement System Analysis (MSA/GR&R), and capital equipment qualifications.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, or an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent work experience. - Experience with photolithography and etch manufacturing processes in semiconductor manufacturing. - Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability metrics (Cp/Cpk), and Design of Experiments (DOE). - Experience performing root cause analysis, nonconformance investigations, and implementing CAPA. - Experience utilizing PFMEA, control plans, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA/GR&R).
Nice to have
- Experience supporting semiconductor wafer fabrication, thin film, plating, metrology, MEMS, advanced packaging, assembly, or test operations. - Experience supporting process transfers, technology transfers, new product introductions (NPI), or manufacturing scale-up activities. - Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 13485, or similar quality management systems. - Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement training.
