About the role
The Process Development Engineer works across project teams to transition new products from the concept stage through final transfer to contract manufacturing.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with engineering groups to identify and resolve design issues early in the new product development cycle. - Work with the NPI team to transfer new products to volume manufacturing. - Build electro-mechanical assemblies to establish assembly process flows and identify failure risks. - Create detailed assembly process documents for pilot production teams and contract manufacturers. - Design and qualify assembly tools and fixtures used in product assembly. - Evaluate product assembly issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and train personnel on assembly methods.
What you'll need
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. - 5+ years of related work experience in a manufacturing engineering position. - Knowledge of developing assembly process flows from solid models, bills of material, and other design information. - Experience developing mechanical tools and fixtures for mechanical and electro-mechanical products. - Ability to design and document parts and assemblies in SolidWorks. - Experience with Teamcenter. - Experience with Microsoft Office 365 tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

- Familiarity with SolidWorks PDM.
