About the role

The Principal Product Support Engineer provides worldwide support for data center SSD products on behalf of product development engineering teams. In this role, you will act as the voice of the customer during development to ensure customer requirements are validated and pre-qualification strategies are established before customer qualification begins.

What you'll do

• Manage schedules and qualification requirements with customers and internal engineering stakeholders.
• Track customer requirements, address status gaps, and drive technical action items to timely resolution.
• Develop customer pre-qualification strategies, execution plans, and perform lab work for data collection as needed.
• Write product release notes, failure analysis reports, and technical use-case white papers.
• Communicate complex technical data to customers and internal stakeholders to ensure product maturity.

What you'll need

• BS degree in computer engineering or equivalent field with minimum 12 years of experience, or MS degree with minimum 8 years of experience, performing validation, qualification, and/or debug of data center storage products.
• Experience leading technical teams in validation, customer qualification, and failure analysis fields with a focus on data center storage.
• Proven background engaging directly with customers on product validation and qualification schedules.
• Advanced understanding of computer system architecture fundamentals and data center storage usage models.
• General understanding of NVM Express and Open Compute Platform specifications, including knowledge of relevant protocol and debug tools.
• Ability to perform hands-on lab work for failure analysis, debug, and data collection, with willingness to travel domestically and internationally when needed.
