Focus on the RDU (Reconfigurable Dataflow Unit), a chip built on a dataflow architecture.
About the role
This role is responsible for translating market intelligence into product, pricing, and positioning decisions for SambaNova's full-stack inference platform, centered on the RDU (Reconfigurable Dataflow Unit) chip.
What you'll do
- Turn third-party research, competitor disclosures, and benchmark data into roadmap, pricing, and positioning decisions.
- Build AI-powered tooling to make market intelligence faster, deeper, and more scalable.
- Own the pipeline from third-party research to decision-ready analysis.
- Track chip-level specifications for NVIDIA, AMD, Google TPU, AWS Trainium, Cerebras, Groq, and emerging accelerators.
- Track roadmaps including announced parts, credible leaks, and supply signals like HBM allocation and foundry node ramps.
- Write a weekly two-page brief covering market changes, their meaning, and necessary decisions.
What you'll need
- 8+ years in semiconductor or AI infrastructure analysis, competitive intelligence, equity research, corporate or product strategy.
- Experience building quantitative market or economic models from primary inputs (accelerator forecasts, TCO, capacity and demand).
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, economics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in accelerator and system architecture (compute, memory hierarchy, interconnect, power) and how each drives inference performance and cost.
- Track record of translating competitor spec and roadmap changes into product, pricing, or investment decisions.
- Hands-on with Python and LLM APIs, able to build or direct agentic research tooling.
Nice to have
- Direct experience with SemiAnalysis models (TCO, Tokenomics, Accelerator, ClusterMAX, InferenceMAX) or comparable institutional research.
- Depth in inference economics: cost per million tokens, latency and throughput tradeoffs, prefill and decode disaggregation, and workload mix.
- Rack- and cluster-level fluency: networking, optics, cooling, power density, and scale-up and scale-out topologies.
- Experience with capacity planning or GPU economics at a cloud, neocloud, or hyperscaler.
- Experience writing an investment thesis that redirected a roadmap or capital allocation, or building a decision framework.
- Willingness to challenge a senior stakeholder's figures when evidence supports it.

How we counted: 66 open Product Management (AI ML Hardware) roles from 21 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 15 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there. Figures refresh nightly.
