About the role
As a Principal Opto-Mechanical Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver advanced modules and tools that enable optically enhanced performance in e-beam systems.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end technical delivery for module performance and major project scope. - Lead the design, integration, and realization of complex opto-mechanical systems across multiple designs. - Make and guide technical trade-offs across sub-modules and system interfaces. - Translate requirements into traceable technical specifications and align interfaces for reliable validation. - Plan and execute validation activities to ensure release readiness from prototype to high-volume manufacturing. - Shape multi-year technical strategy and domain roadmaps while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
What you'll need
- MSc or PhD in a relevant engineering field. - 10+ years of industry experience in optics, lasers, and opto-mechanical or related domains. - Demonstrated technical expertise in precision motion, optics, laser physics, and tolerancing. - Experience delivering engineering solutions from prototype through high-volume manufacturing. - Ability to travel approximately 15%.
