Focus on high-speed circuit architecture and data paths for DDR and LPDDR memory IP.
About the role
The Principal High Speed Analog/Mixed Signal Designer will be part of the memory design team supporting the definition, specification, system simulation, and implementation of DDR and LPDDR related product IPs. The role focuses on circuit architecture and design of critical high-speed analog and digital blocks, along with specifying high-speed data paths.
What you'll do
- Own high-speed analog/mixed-signal designs at the chip and block level. - Design, simulate, and characterize high-performance and high-speed circuits. - Create high-level models for design tradeoff analysis and behavioral models for verification simulations. - Collaborate with digital and system teams to define architecture and design plans, and partner with layout teams on floor planning and post-extraction performance. - Document analysis and simulation to verify critical electrical and timing parameters within pre-silicon verification flows. - Partner with lab and system teams on test planning, silicon bring-up, and characterization while mentoring junior designers.
What you'll need
- MS EE with 7+ years or PhD EE with 5+ years of analog/mixed-signal circuit design experience. - Direct experience in high-speed analog circuits such as Transmitter, Receiver, PLL, DLL, PI, or clock distribution. - Solid knowledge of design principles for practical design tradeoffs. - Solid knowledge of basic building blocks including bias, op-amp, and LDO circuits.
Skills: DDR, PLL, LPDDR, high-speed, analog/mixed-signal
