About the role
As a Principal Hardware Engineer, you will be the technical lead for a design team developing and delivering ultra-high-performance electronic products. This role involves designing critical pieces of a solution and owning all aspects of EE hardware design for a product range.
What you'll do
- Lead a design team developing and delivering ultra-high-performance electronic products.
- Own and design critical pieces of a solution.
- Manage all aspects of EE hardware design, including BOM creation, vendor negotiations, circuit/board design, development, and validation.
- Participate in customer trials, field issues, and product sustaining.
- Drive a philosophy of small teams supporting a One Person One Board development culture.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Hardware, ASIC, Signal, Mechanical, Thermal, Diagnostic, Packaging, and Manufacturing engineers.
What you'll need
- Experience with placement of large high-powered SOCs based on advanced silicon and packaging process technologies, including 2D, 2.5D, and 2.5D with 3D memories.
- Deep understanding and experience in PCB board layout.
- Demonstrate lifecycle product ownership of complex products from inception to volume production.
- Ability to work with support groups including Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Customer Support, Compliance, Safety, and Sustainability.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 12+ years of related experience.
