About the role

As a Firmware Developer on the HBM Architecture team, you will drive the development and implementation of firmware and embedded software for Custom High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) products. You will provide technical leadership across firmware requirements analysis, implementation, and validation alongside SoC design and architecture teams.

What you'll do

- Deliver firmware solutions for SoC designs, covering driver layers, design verification firmware, manufacturing/test firmware, and production firmware. - Leverage FPGA prototyping to develop and validate firmware implementations. - Collaborate with HBM architecture, design, and verification teams to co-optimize firmware, RTL, hardware features, and IP selections. - Provide technical leadership from architectural pathfinding through silicon bring-up, qualification, customer enablement, and sustainment. - Analyze firmware architecture, design requirements, and customer requirements to establish implementation plans. - Utilize GenAI to develop AI-assisted development workflows.

What you'll need

- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or greater degree. - 10+ years of relevant engineering or design engineering experience. - Experience in embedded systems or firmware development, including low-level programming, system control, and hardware bring-up. - Experience architecting firmware systems and enablement features for GPUs, CPUs, or TPUs in datacenter environments. - Background in memory technologies such as DRAM, HBM, or NAND, along with understanding of JEDEC standards. - Experience with high-speed interfaces, memory controllers, PHY interaction, or SoC-level firmware integration. - Exposure to RAS, diagnostics, telemetry, testing, or reliability-focused firmware.
