About the role
This role drives yield improvement and product performance on advanced technology nodes on GlobalFoundries’ strategic roadmap, supporting technology transfers and high-volume production in a 300mm wafer fab.
What you'll do
- Drive yield and product performance for technology nodes at 45nm and below.
- Investigate root cause of yield and product functionality issues.
- Use data analysis, failure analysis, product and design information, device knowledge, and technology understanding to identify improvement opportunities.
- Engage with customers on weekly calls providing updates on current yield status and forecasts.
- Work closely with Test, Integration and Process Modules to implement fast and cost-effective improvements.
- Support customer engineering to fully meet external customer requirements.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Circuit Design, Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
- 4 years of relatable experience.
- Data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge in the design, execution, and analysis of experiments.
- Knowledge of circuit design and test, solid state device physics, submicron FET architectures, and the implications of electrical characteristics and performance on yield and product behavior.
Nice to have
- M.S. or Ph.D.
- Working knowledge of semiconductor processing and process integration.
- Prior experience in Yield Engineering supporting high volume production and technology transfers.
