About the role

As a Principal Engineer for Security Architecture, you will own a core security domain of the AI factory, covering architecture, delivery, and code within NVIDIA DGX Cloud.

What you'll do

  • Take architectural ownership of a core domain of DGX Cloud security from design through production.
  • Embed with teams early in the design phase, write code, and help land solutions.
  • Engineer secure paths into the platform that are also easy to adopt.
  • Identify and engineer out classes of risk from systems.
  • Perform deep-dive threat models and attack designs to improve baselines and guardrails.
  • Translate DGX Cloud security standards into reference architectures, requirements, and golden paths.
  • Partner with DGX Cloud platform, production engineering, network security teams, and NVIDIA's central security organization.

What you'll need

  • 15+ years of experience across software engineering, SRE, infrastructure, and security engineering.
  • Strong software engineering background with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested production-grade code.
  • Experience working with emerging technologies, including AI-generated code and AI-assisted analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience with security architecture in practice, including designs that were built and operated in areas like multi-tenant isolation, identity and access, or policy enforcement.
  • Proven ability to build threat models for complex distributed systems and identify architectural gaps.
  • Depth in distributed systems and Linux, including cloud-native architecture, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and kernel-level primitives (eBPF, AppArmor, or SELinux).
  • Experience landing designs through influence in environments where credibility and relationships determine project success.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
